Practice Statement

Model-making inspires us. Physical models are often the first tangible manifestations of an architectural idea. Proportion and scale form the bridge between the model and the building it represents. In this distilled form, architecture can reveal unexpected qualities, potential risks, or hidden possibilities. Architectural model-making is a powerful method for expressing a concept through a new layer of logic: that of physical material. Beyond scaled representations, we also create conceptual and abstract models. Material compositions that explore ideas, space, and materiality in their most elemental form. It is, in essence, a way of sketching with materials.
