We believe that models are thinking machines; they help us in the creative and constructive process to review, validate, and corroborate in parallel with what is being drawn two-dimensionally. We defend the execution of the model as a craft, which is why we rely on a manual process. This allows us to make imperfect models; we are precisely interested in controlling that nature with our hands. We are also aware of the support of technology (laser cutting, for example) as an ally at certain moments in the process, but only in special cases.
